Dr. Lalit Shimpi is a renowned gastroenterologist with over two decades of experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of digestive disorders.
A gold-medalist in General Medicine, he completed his MBBS from Pune University and his MD from Shivaji University, followed by a prestigious D.M in Gastroenterology from SMS Medical College, Jaipur—one of India’s leading tertiary care centers.
To further refine his expertise, Dr. Shimpi pursued advanced fellowship training in ERCP and Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) at CBM University in Rome, Italy, under the mentorship of globally acclaimed endoscopic surgeon Prof. Guido Costamagna.

Dr. Shimpi served as an Hon. Asst. Professor in Medicine & Gastroenterology at Bharati Vidyapeeth Medical College, Pune from 2006 to 2024.
Presently he guides and teaches PG DNB gastroenterology students at Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital & Research Center, Pune.
He also mentors physicians undergoing MUHS Endoscopy Fellowship at Jehangir Hospital, Pune.
